Enterprise Zone
In 2024, the King's Scout Working Party (KSWP) ran the Enterprise Zone at Essex International Jamboree (EIJ 2024). The Enterprise Zone was an activity that saw participants running their own sweet making company. They had to design, manufacture and market their sweet - before using their wages to buy and sample the sweets from other teams. The team that made the most profit at the end of the activity was declared the winner, and received an exclusive Enterprise Zone prize badge.

Chocolate Cheat's Fudge
Recipe makes around 18 sweets
Ingredients
- 50g Butter
- 50g Condensed Milk
- 200g Icing Sugar
- 10g Cocoa Powder
Instructions
- Mix butter and condensed milk together until smooth
- Gradually add sieved icing sugar and cocoa until thick
- Form into shapes
Chocolate Fruity Balls
Recipe makes around 12 sweets
Ingredients
- 6 Digestive Biscuits
- 50g Icing Sugar
- 50g Raisins
- 7.5ml Orange Juice
- 10g Cocoa Powder
- 18g Golden Syrup
- 50g Butter
Instructions
- Crush biscuits into small pieces
- Sieve icing sugar into the biscuit pieces, and mix with raisins and orange juice
- Melt your butter, and mix with the golden syrup and cocoa powder
- Add the butter mix to the dry ingredients and mix
- Form into shapes
Chocolate Truffles
Recipe makes around 12 sweets
Ingredients
- 100g Plain Chocolate
- 50g Butter
- 3 Digestive Biscuits
- 150g Icing Sugar
Instructions
- Finely crush biscuits
- Sieve the icing sugar and mix with the biscuits
- Melt your chocolate and butter, and add to the dry ingredients and mix
- Form into shapes
Coconut Ice
Recipe makes around 8 sweets
Ingredients
- 50g Icing Sugar
- 30g Condensed Milk
- 35g Dessicated Coconut
- 1ml Food Colouring
Instructions
- Sieve sugar into bowl
- Add condensed milk and mix together
- Add food colouring
- Stir in desiccated coconut
- Form into shapes
Orange Creams
Recipe makes around 9 sweets
Ingredients
- 100g Icing Sugar
- 2.5ml Lemon Juice
- 1 Orange
Instructions
- Sieve sugar into bowl
- Grate 1/4 orange rind into sugar and mix
- Add lemon juice and mix
- Squeeze orange and slowly add juice (up to 2 teaspoons) a drop at a time until the sugar has formed a stiff paste
- Form into shapes
Peppermint Creams
Recipe makes around 12 sweets
Ingredients
- 100g Icing Sugar
- 1ml Food Colouring
- 1ml Peppermint Flavouring
- Water
Instructions
- Sieve sugar into bowl
- Add food colouring and flavouring, and mix
- Add up to 2 teaspoons of water a drop at a time whilst stirring until it becomes a stiff paste
- Form into shapes
Vanilla Cheat's Fudge
Recipe makes around 18 sweets
Ingredients
- 50g Butter
- 50g Condensed Milk
- 250g Icing Sugar
- 5ml Vanilla Flavouring
Instructions
- Mix butter and condensed milk together until smooth
- Gradually add sieved icing sugar and vanilla flavouring until thick
- Form into shapes
